AtTayeb Relief Foundation is guided by the Islamic values of rahmah (mercy), ihsan (excellence), and amanah (trust). Islam places great importance on caring for widows and orphans, and through the Widow Empowerment Project, we strive to uphold this sacred responsibility.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the immense reward of supporting widows and those in need:
“The one who strives to support widows and the poor is like the one who strives in the cause of Allah, or like the one who fasts during the day and prays throughout the night.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)
Widows often become the sole providers for their families, carrying immense responsibility with little support. AtTayeb works to restore dignity and stability by addressing both immediate needs and long-term self-reliance. We provide food assistance, shelter support, and essential household items to widows and their orphaned children, ensuring they are cared for with compassion and respect.
Sustainable Livelihoods for Halal and Dignified Provision
To promote independence and lasting impact, AtTayeb offers vocational training and income-generating opportunities that enable widows to earn a halal livelihood and support their families with dignity. Training includes:
- Sewing and tailoring
- Soap and household product production
- Food preparation and small-scale food production
- Hairdressing and personal care services
These skills help widows provide for their families, care for their children, and contribute positively to their communities.
